Accessibility Statement

People First Computers is working to make our public website and client-facing interfaces usable by people with a wide range of abilities, devices, and assistive technologies.

Last updated: August 25, 2026

Our current target for new and substantially updated public interfaces is WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Accessibility is an ongoing engineering and content practice, not a one-time overlay or certification.

Our approach

We aim to design, build, and maintain the site so important information and actions remain available without requiring a mouse, perfect vision, a specific device size, or color perception alone.

Keyboard accessInteractive controls should be reachable and usable with a keyboard, with visible focus indicators.
Readable contrastText, controls, and important interface states are designed with contrast in mind.
Responsive layoutsPages are designed to work across desktop, tablet, and mobile screen sizes without forcing horizontal scrolling for normal content.
Structure and labelsWe use headings, labels, link text, and semantic structure to make content easier to understand and navigate.
Images and graphicsMeaningful images should include useful alternative text. Decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology where appropriate.
Motion preferencesSite styling respects reduced-motion preferences where feasible and avoids making motion necessary to understand content.

Accessibility enhancements currently in place

  • Strong visible keyboard focus styling for links, buttons, form fields, summaries, and other interactive elements.
  • A skip-to-content control is provided for keyboard users on public pages.
  • Reduced-motion preferences are respected by the site’s global design layer.
  • The redesigned PFC public pages use responsive layouts, explicit contrast rules, and accessible image alt text where imagery conveys meaning.
  • New public page designs avoid relying on color alone to communicate meaning.

Known limitations

Some older WordPress, Divi, plugin-generated, or third-party interface elements may not yet meet every part of our target standard. Third-party services, embedded content, or documents may also have accessibility characteristics outside our direct control.

We are continuing to review the site as it is rebuilt. When we identify an issue that affects a core workflow, we prioritize a code or content fix rather than using an accessibility overlay as a substitute.

Client portal and forms

Client-facing forms and portal workflows are included in our accessibility target. We aim for clear labels, useful validation messages, keyboard operation, logical focus order, readable status information, and mobile usability. If a form or portal workflow prevents you from completing a task, contact us and we will work with you on an alternative method.

Feedback and assistance

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on peoplefirstcomputers.com, please tell us what page or feature you were using, what went wrong, and the browser, device, or assistive technology involved if you are comfortable sharing that information.

Contact us through the People First Computers Contact page or call 407-214-4114.

Assessment and review

Accessibility is reviewed through design and code checks, keyboard testing, responsive testing, contrast review, content review, and workflow testing. Automated tools can help identify problems but are not treated as a complete accessibility assessment.

Ongoing improvement

As pages, forms, plugins, and client workflows change, we will continue to improve accessibility and update this statement when material changes are made.
